The position is created to achieve revenue and profit growth in the Wholesale Products Activities; to expand and develop the appropriate channels to ensure increased market penetration for Armstrong solutions to the Wholesale Plumbing and Heating Supply channel as well as Pump and Motor house, and Plumbing Contractor customer segments.

Sales Engineer is responsible for all aspects of daily sales of company products in the assigned region. This includes but is not limited sales strategies and personal achievement and group sales with a focus on solutions Armstrong Design Envelope (Design About Armstrong)

In addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Exceed assigned bookings and shipments targets in the assigned territory.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business.
  • Deeply understand the needs and pain points of customers to provide tailored solutions.
  • Provide excellent post-sale support to address any issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and lead Wholesale Products initiatives, contributing to the overall growth strategy.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the products being sold, including their features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Responsible for selling Armstrong products and solutions, communicating the Armstrong value proposition to wholesale customers and contractors.
  • Work closely with teams to formulate sales strategies, refine marketing channels, and develop accurate sales forecasts.
  • Directly manage assigned accounts, ensuring exceptional service and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Prepare persuasive proposals and quotations in alignment with Armstrong's sales processes, utilizing available tools effectively.
  • Produces bi-weekly market activity reports and update sales activities on CRM with a minimum of 10 sales calls per week.
  • Expand and maintain direct customer base by building and maintaining relationships with key customers, distributors, design engineers and identify new customer opportunities.
  • Evaluate customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Analyze and report customer feedback for continuous improvement in market share.
  • Participation in trade fairs preparing the stand and interacting with visitors.
  • Report and prepare sales reports required by the line manager.
  • Monitor competitive activities and status reports on market conditions.
  • Support special projects that may be assigned by the line manager.
  • Responsible to assist in setting goals and objectives for the sales group.
  • Promote teamwork and maintain liaison with other departments of the company.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and product innovations, offering valuable insights and recommendations to the sales team to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Keep the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system updated with all sales activities, customer interactions and progress.
  • Promote the sales of BPA, Astro, Astro Express, DE Compass R, DE Compass H, S&H, E2 circulators, CBV valves and Flow Trex and Suction guides through the WPD channel.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical / professional knowledge and skills required.
  • Minimum of 3 years in sales focused on HVAC and / or related industry.
  • Experience in tracking sales information of customers, forecasts and reports using related software applications such as CRM.
  • Regional and international travel is required; candidates must possess a valid passport.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and persuasive skills, coupled with an active proficiency in English, facilitating clear and impactful communication with diverse stakeholders.
  • Exhibit a robust technical understanding of HVAC products and systems, enabling informed discussions and effective problem-solving within the industry.
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations to prospective customers to demonstrate the value of products and services.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, leveraging digital tools to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
  • Demonstrates a proactive problem-solving approach across all facets of the role, exhibiting initiative and resourcefulness in identifying and addressing challenges.
  • Strong, team-oriented leadership skills with presence and a bias for action.
