The Order Fulfillment Specialist plays a pivotal role as the primary point of contact responsible for collecting, analyzing, and communicating daily logistics information. This position is crucial for enhancing and maintaining customer satisfaction by leading efforts to identify, escalate, and resolve order delivery issues promptly.
In addition to annual initiatives, the key responsibilities are as follows:
Key Accountabilities:
- Act as the key liaison between Operations, Supply Chain and Sales to oversee orders from placement through to shipping.
- Continuously monitor and follow up to ensure on-time product delivery; expedite or coordinate activities with internal stakeholders as needed to meet sales order requirements.
- Utilize our Online Order Tracking tool to manage lead time information and proactively adjust delivery schedules.
- Respond promptly to real-time requests from Customer Service on behalf of customers.
- Track and rectify incomplete sales orders.
- Monitor and manage supply chain disruptions or manufacturing issues that may affect customer orders.
- Manage assigned strategic customer projects.
- Participate in problem-solving processes to drive structural improvements in order tracking.
- Identify and implement enhancements to lead times across product lines, collaborating with Operations and product development teams.
- Drive actions and escalate unresolved issues to the Order Fulfillment Manager or appropriate stakeholders.
- Establish metrics to evaluate information flow effectiveness and implement daily standard work improvements.
- Lead efforts to significantly reduce incomplete sales orders.
- Establish daily standard communications via electronic and live meetings to facilitate information flow between Operations, Sales, Customer Service, and Customers.
- Proactively update Customer Service and customers on order statuses.
- Provide insights into material shortages and suggest alternatives to prevent delivery delays.
- Support Sales by providing accurate lead times during the quoting stage.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience focused on order fulfillment.
- PMP designation is advantageous.
- Experience in factory planning, master planning, or scheduling.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes.
- Proficient in problem-solving methodologies, particularly root cause analysis.
- Demonstrated track record of process improvement and automation.
- Software Requirements- Expertise in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with LN INFOR or similar ERP systems.
- Skilled in driving consensus and action across diverse stakeholders and business units.
- Operates with a sense of urgency and delivers results consistently.
- Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Self-directed yet collaborative, with a commitment to achieving objectives.
- Transparent and authentic communication style in all interactions.
- Ability to simplify complex problems, conduct thorough analyses, and provide clear recommendations.
