Programme Overview

The program is an opportunity to provide primary Manufacturing Engineering technical support and knowledge in optimizing the operations organization. The position's basic duty is to improve production efficiency and save costs by eliminating waste within the production environment. Students will work under the supervision of manufacturing engineers to implement new technology and improve production processes on the shop floor.

This position is located in Toronto.

Key Accountabilities

  • Participate in group activities with various departments to gain hands-on experience and exposure to different facets of the business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute fresh perspectives and innovative ideas.
  • Engage in learning and development activities to enhance business acumen, technical skills, and leadership capabilities.
  • Respond to BOM changes and support the Engineering Change Order process
  • Actively participate in mentorship programs to receive guidance from experienced professionals within the organization.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset, learning agility, resilience, and adaptability in navigating challenges and changes within the business environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Exhibits a keen interest in the fields of Manufacturing and Engineering.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to communicate in an open and authentic manner in all situations.
  • Currently enrolled in an Engineering program or related fields.
  • Self-motivation and commitment to achieving high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Proven academic excellence.
