As a Co-op Engineering Student at Armstrong Fluid Technology, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering team with key tasks and initiatives. Your responsibilities will include executing assigned tasks efficiently, analyzing engineering reports, and assisting in the management of test report records and equipment. You will be expected to interpret engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), follow stringent safety protocols, and maintain inspection sheets in the Machine Shop.

This position is located in Toronto, ON.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Efficiently and promptly execute all tasks assigned by the team.
  • Review and analyze engineering reports to support project objectives.
  • Assist in maintaining both electronic and physical records of test reports and test equipment.
  • Study and interpret engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in detail.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Regularly update inspection sheets and perform consistent checklists in the Machine Shop.
  • Perform inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality control standards.
  • Engage in design reviews to confirm that quality requirements are met and provide feedback as needed.
  • Work with engineering and IT to automate the creation and updates to the inspection sheets and loading the data into the business system.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to communicate in an open and authentic manner in all situations.
  • Currently enrolled in an Engineering program or related fields.
  • Self-motivation and commitment to achieving high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Proven academic excellence.
