Overview

 The primary responsibilities of the OEM Sales Manager are to develop, maintain, and expand sales and business opportunities for assigned OEM factory customers and service offices, referred to as “Leverage” channel.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Customer management and sales execution: Establishes and maintains cadence of contact with decision makers in potential and existing customers with a formalized work plan.
  • Factory program and project winning: Facilitates through both client and internal functional stakeholders the successful achievement of basis of design specification for new factory programs and projects with supply chain, engineering, product marketing, operations, quality, and warranty.
  • “Leverage” project funnel development, management, and winning: Manage successful “leverage” project pipeline by training and educating sales and service teams, engagement with national and regional management, participation in national and regional sales and service meetings, and project winning support (i.e. joint sales calls and quotation support).
  • Ensures implementation schedules and support activities are aligned with commitments to customers and to Armstrong management.
  • Expands awareness of products through presentations and demonstration opportunities.
  • Participates in the development of a sales plan that includes opportunity map, target accounts, forecasting, sales strategies and tactics, and entering sales calls activity in CRM
  • An active member of the overall United States growth initiatives and strategy
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor degree in related discipline strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience focused in HVAC and/or related industries.
  • Experience in tracking customer sales information, forecasts & reports using related software applications.
  • The successful candidate will  have demonstrated an ability to:
    - exceed quarterly and annual sales objectives
    - identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities
    - develop and maintain effective business, sales, and marketing plans
    - implement and follow the Armstrong sales processes
  • Technical/professional knowledge and skill required; engineering background highly desirable
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required.
  • Strong computer skills required, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Additional Information

  • The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a consistent travel schedule, approximatey 50%.
