Engineer CFD works with global R&D teams in hydraulic design of pumps/circulators and other products. Should possesses good hands-on CFD tools and concepts of Fluid dynamics and Heat transfer. Role also includes in hydraulic design of pumps in line with HI, DOE, UL, FM, NFPA standards. Should also have clear understanding of product development process and testing. Should also be mentoring peers on CFD studies.

 
This position is located in Bangalore, India.

 

In addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are:

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform 2D & 3D CFD analysis for mechanical & HVAC systems to support development work.
  • Conduct technical research, post-process and analyze CFD results.
  • Write engineering reports & provide design recommendations to identify and rectify potential design issue and improve existing designs.
  • Work with engineering, testing and project teams to plan, develop and coordinate test plans (design verification) and interpret test data to make design recommendations.
  • Provide effective design solutions to optimize product functionality, reliability and stability.
  • Perform validation studies comparing CFD results to experimental data and improve current methodologies.
  • Coordinate with global CFD/technical strategy teams on developing/improving simulation strategies.
  • Strong fundamental knowledge in Fluid Flow & Heat Transfer
  • Perform technical design reviews and recommend improvements.
  • Attend team meetings to discuss about design techniques and issues.
  • Ensure that product design and performance meets technical and functional requirements.
  • Develop process improvements and standard work practices for operational efficiency.
  • Willingness to learn and advance skillset.
  • Should be mentoring peers of hydraulic design team.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor / Masters’ degree in Mechanical Engineering with CFD from a reputed Institute.
  • 5 – 8 years experience
  • Have good understanding of CFD tools like ANSYS Fluent, CFX, Simerics
  • Good to have experience in tools like JIRA and any programming.
  • Hands-on experience in 3D modeling parts per industry standards using any of the 3D CAD software’s – SolidWorks, UGNX, Pro-E, CATIA.(Solid works preferred).
  • ERP knowledge will be an added advantage.
  • Understanding of Change order implementation.
  • Experience in pumping products & rotating manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
