This position is located at Toronto, ON Canada.

In addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are:

Role and Responsibilities

  • Testing the samples including small circulators to larger hydraulic pumps.
  • Responsible in electrical drawing and reviewing the schematics of current and new projects.
  • Investigation on new products, components, and instrumentation for current and new projects.
  • Support team on verification of the performance of electrical components and final integrated set up.
  • Providing engineering reports and reviewing them.
  • Follow up on evaluation, testing, meetings for the process of current projects.
  • Conduct technical investigation and simulation of mainly electric motor, drive (their interface and communication).
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures for electrical systems and components.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality control procedures.
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure that quality requirements are met.
  • Provide technical support to the manufacturing and production team to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Support the investigation and documentation of customer issues related to product quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-5 yrs of experience in control electricals within quality environment.
  • Completed University degree in Electrical Engineering (Power and Control Engineering) 
  • Pursuing the Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
  • Background in electrical machines and drives, mechanical, or hardware engineering.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical and automated systems an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control procedures and techniques.
  • Experience with electrical systems and components including Controls and Automation.
  • Ability to plan and manage a varied workload and have a pro-active and flexible attitude.
  • Ability to break down complex problems in a simplified way, conduct root cause analysis and provide clear, well-thought-out recommendations.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively and a focus on results.
  • Ability to communicate in an open and authentic manner in all situations.
