The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and ensuring positive customer experience in the assigned geographical area. This role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage high-performing sales representatives in the assigned geographical area.
  • Identify the need for new sales channels in the region and appoint new reps.
  • Manager Direct sales with Key accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, Contractors, HVAC Consultants, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Be a part of a high performing regional sales team and work with the Regional Sales manager to achieve the business goals.
  • Understand customer needs, challenges, in the assigned geographical area provide feedback.
  • Build and manage the sales pipeline and forecast sales accurately using the CRM tool.
  • Develop and implement key account plans to drive revenue growth and achieve agreed upon targets effectively using the CRM tool.
  • Craft and deliver value propositions that align with customer objectives by utilizing all Armstrong offerings.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the market presence.
  • Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts to generate leads and referrals.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to sales and customer service.
  • Provide market feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Ensure positive customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in B2B sales management, solutions selling within the HVAC and or Building Technologies industry.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of complex B2B sales cycles and negotiation techniques.
  • Excellent, communication presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in CRM software tools and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to travel 70% of the time within the region.
  • Mechanical engineering degree preferred, and equivalent technical sales experience.
