Position Summary

Technical Sales Representative, Fire, Plumbing and Service Dealers

Job Summary:

Responsible for all facets of sale of Company Fire, Plumbing and parts / products outside of the Greater Toronto Area. The successful incumbent will help drive sales and service strategies through contractor and service dealers thereby achieving personal and Fire and Plumbing Cluster objectives. Assists in the development of customer support policies and practices to achieve “best in industry” capabilities.

Essential Functions:

  1. Coordinates all fire and plumbing sales. Additional territory and scope may be added at Company’s discretion.
  2. Grow the Service and Parts business in the territory, in conjunction with Plan/budget numbers assigned and targeting the customer list provided

  7. Maintains customer, service network, competitor records, and participates in Sales Planning Sessions. Provides guidance on all service/ application/ warranty issues involving sales, marketing, or service department as requested.
  8. Measures and reports daily/quarterly/annual reports as required by management.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Analyzes and reports customer feedback for continuous market share improvement.
  2. Fire and plumbing sales/quotation responsibility for territory. Supports special projects as assigned by management.

Experience and Background:

Marketing Manager – Pump Products

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Configured Building Equipment, Customer Solution Group, the incumbent develops and implements strategic direction and product portfolio such that the Pump teams exceed growth, sales and profit objectives as stated in the Company’s annual Budget and long range plans. The incumbent leads the Pump product portfolio on a global basis and, through interaction with sister divisions and customers, establishes the priorities of product development and new product launches.

Principal Responsibilities

  1. Develops the Pump Products portfolio and strategy to support sales and profit in conjunction with pump specialists in other company locations

Experienced Software Developer/ Systems Integration Specialist

Position Summary

Armstrong Fluid Technology is currently seeking an experienced Software Developer/System Integration Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate would be responsible for implementing end-to-end integration of new applications into existing business systems (BaaN, Infor LN).

A successful candidate’s primary responsibility would include developing, implementing, supporting, documenting and providing ongoing maintenance of all EDI and B2B integration to BAAN/Infor LN. They will also serve as a technical analyst and recommend feasible solutions for simple to complex business needs, and in addition provide work effort estimation for project deliverables. This position also includes ongoing project-based development work, along with day-to-day support of existing applications. 

Work Experience:

  1. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and relevant experience in enterprise software development processes.
  2. Experience working on EDI initiatives.

As a Developer you will be reporting to Manager –Business Software Group and will be responsible for to implement product configurations of medium to high complexity in the Configure Price Quote (CPQ) selection software and ERP system based on inputs from Marketing/Sales/Product Business Groups.

Some Key Responsibilities

  • Understand Medium difficulty level changes to selection Software using a Configure Price Quote (CPQ) design platform, and ERP systems (via DCR – Data Change request), come up with a logic to implement the changes.
  • Must have very good understanding of the Change Process and update documentation -- Action Form, Test Cases, Source Documentation, Signed-off Forms with guidance.  Experience with Infor CPQ (PCM) software is an asset.
  • Able to maintain synchronization among all business platforms (Selection Software, CPQ, ERP System and De-sensitized models and Drawings)
  • Able to make changes to Item Masters, Generics Features & Options and BOM, Price matrices in ERP system
  • Understand Medium difficulty level (1-2 days) Issues, come up with a logic to resolve. Must have very good understanding of the Issue tracker and the process followed in updating the same. Log issues and follow up for resolution with guidance
  • Understand the functionality of the component 1 tool and also its flexibility. Able to write/modify scripts as per our requirement
  • Should be aware of Report Creation/updating standards
  • Prepare Flowcharts and Test Cases per requirements with guidance.
  • Maintaining documentation supporting the work completed and updating the master data sheets

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Graduate /Master in Computer Application with 2-3 years of experience
  • Knowledge on Infor CPQ, Java Scripts, .NET, Component 1 reporting or equivalent, Basics of C, Flow Chart preparation, Pseudo-code creation.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Manage the integrity of the Business Management system and associated document system. Continue the integration of this Business Management System at a global level to move from a site level management system to a global system in 2017.
  • Manage our third party accreditations that includes ISO 9001 & 14001; Achilles; LPCB & FM Fire pump approvals.
  • Plan, coordinate and conduct the system, process and product audits against the required standards and develop and conduct structured quality management reviews.

Electrical Project Engineer

RMI Pressure Systems Ltd

Main Purpose of the Role

To work within the overall Engineering Team and to contribute strongly to the design, development, programming, pre-sales and support of new and existing products and systems with an emphasis on Mining and Industrial applications, such as the Oil and Gas market.

To be responsible for the automated test rigs at the Manchester facility

The role is based in Manchester, but will require travel to other countries where RMI product is being marketed and/or sold. 

Principal Accountabilities

The design of electrical and control systems for new and existing products and systems. Constantly review the market for new and improved controls and instruments appropriate for our products and development.

Essential Experience  

  • Associated electronic / electrical controls and design
  • Good application knowledge of PLC-based control systems. Siemens and Allen Bradley preferred
  • Good knowledge of commonly-used communication protocols, in particular Industrial Ethernet.
  • Extensive industrial experience with high pressure equipment
  • Electrical Design experience using at a minimum AutoCAD, but preferably an electrical design package - ideally Solid Works Electrical.
  • Control panel design including component specification.
  • Creation of bill of materials
  • Knowledge of Variable Speed Drive technologies and applications, ideally up to 500 kW. Siemens, Danfoss and Allen Bradley preferred

Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge of MA, ATEX and NEC requirements for Electrical Hardware (Explosion proof and Intrinsically Safe) coupled with mining, and oil and gas industry experience.
  • Experience of working successfully in small, mixed-discipline engineering teams.
  • Understanding of relevant international engineering standards, including IEC, CE & BS.

Job Summary/Basic Functions:

Under the direction of the Sales Development Manager – Wholesale / Parts Distribution, the incumbent manages the overall sales activities in the assigned geographical region focusing on distribution customers, including company wide sales and profit objectives. Is responsible for the communication and implementation of all general sales policies and procedures to the distribution network, which includes plumbing/heating & controls wholesalers, pump supply and motor repair facilities (Parts/Service). The Sales Manager is responsible for expanding the market position in the assigned geographical territory and provides input relative to the formation and improvement of the organization’s sales and marketing plans.

Specific Duties/Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for planning adequate territorial coverage to ensure regular visits to Customers, as well as prospecting for new Customers with the objective to achieve sales targets.
  • Manages call efficiency through effective routing, maintaining travel expenses within budget, and adequate pre-call preparation.
  • Assists Customer and appointed Representatives in the broadening of their sales mix through education and technical seminars.
  • Interacts with Representative and National Accounts to form strong Armstrong alliances.
  • Responsible for the expansion of Parts revenue and capabilities through Regional Learning Sessions combined with the promotion of all appropriate marketing support tools.

Will communicate and cooperate with the Sales Manager(s) assigned in a given region that includes the following markets: Commercial Design/Build, Plumbing/Fire Commercial, Industrial, Public Utilities, OEM/National Accounts.
  • Manages all corporate sales programs, as defined in the annual Sales & Marketing Plan.
  • Analyzes the capabilities of our distribution network through the use of Rep Profiles, and monitors monthly sales volume to insure appropriate sales performance is achieved to the agreed budget.
  • Administers weekly communication to both the distribution network and the Sales Development Manager on the activities in the marketplace.
  • Assists in the training and development of all channels of distribution on a broad range of sales and marketing topics such as: product feature and benefit presentations, technical presentations, fundamental selling skills with emphasis on product application at the Contractor level.
  • Provides monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reviews in accordance with Armstrong guidelines, as defined in the annual sales plan.
  • Interacts with inter-company departments as appropriate to insure a high level of Customer satisfaction.
